Description: This interactive colloquium, co-sponsored by CIDER and FDI, highlights problem-based learning (PBL), a pedagogical approach that effectively encourages student development of critical reasoning, complex problem-solving, and communication skills. In this interactive session, we will examine some of the goals and methods of PBL pedagogy within an active, learner-centered framework. Participants will have the opportunity to explore how PBL can be integrated into their own disciplines and curricular goals. |
